Karl Languirand, P.G.

Environmental Services Manager

Karl started with MTI in April of 1996, just before graduating from Boise State University in December of that year.  MTI provided him a jumping off point in the consulting industry and an opportunity to satisfy his ever present curiosity.  Karl started as an Asbestos Air Monitoring technician; progressed to an Asbestos Building http://www.achaten-suisse.com/ Inspector and Lead-based Paint Risk Assessor, as well as an Asbestos Management Planner and Project Designer, and a Lead RRP trainer. In 2001 Karl became a Professional Geologist in Idaho which was followed by licensure in Oregon and Washington.  Karl continues his professional development by staying up to date in the ever changing field of Environmental Site Assessments-Phase I, II, & III’s; basically identifying, determining, delineating, and possibly cleaning up Recognized Environmental Conditions (REC’s) – environmental hazards to the public or the environment.  Karl moved up into the Environmental Services Assistant Manager role and as people moved and opportunities appeared, Mr. Languirand eventually became and currently is the Environmental Services Manager.

When not serving MTI’s clients; Karl enjoys spending time with his wife Nicole, a Montana girl at heart with a Bachelor’s of Science and Nursing (BSN) from Montana State (go Bobcats!), and their two beagles; Sally and Lucy.  Karl also enjoys tinkering around the house, ATVing, and attempting athletics to include softball, golf, and swimming.
